Drawing is a visual art that makes use of any number of drawing instruments to mark a two-dimensional medium. Common instruments include graphite pencils, pen and ink, inked brushes, wax color pencils, crayons, charcoals, chalk, pastels, markers, stylus, or various metals like silverpoint. An artist who practices or works in drawing may be referred to as a draftsman or draughtsman. A small amount of material is released onto the two dimensional medium which leaves a visible markāthe process is similar to that of painting. The most common support for drawing is paper, although other materials such as cardboard, plastic, leather, canvas and board, may be used. Temporary drawings may be made on a blackboard or whiteboard, or indeed almost anything. The medium has also become popular as a means of public expression via graffiti art, because of the easy availability of permanent markers. From Wikipedia under the

I've been drawing for a while now, and have only attempted to draw a guy a few times. They weren't very successful. Do you know of any tutorials or diagrams that would help? Also, I tend to struggle with arms; could you also help me with those? Thanks a bunch. Asked by Resident Expert - Tue Sep 29 19:28:24 2009 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments A. I got a book called Drawing Human Anatomy. It's by Giovanni Civardi. I think I got it at michael's honestly but I'm sure you could get it anywhere. It shows in-depth directions from the inside out, literally. Plus, many different positions. It has entire sections dedicated to each part of the body and different positions and flexing even. Even better I only paid $14.95 for it. It's a great deal and helps a lot. It's solely on the male anatomy too. I hope that helps. Answered by E-Y - Thu Oct 1 23:16:50 2009 What does a drawing class teach you in college? Q. I want to become a graphic designer, but was told I need to know how to draw, but I don't know how to. If I take a class, such as Drawing 1, in college, will that be enough to help me learn to draw so I can become a graphic designer, or do I need to just change to a different major? Asked by Liz - Sat May 29 01:28:54 2010 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments A. You'll take a whole string of drawing classes to progress you along from the basics on up. The first class is usually dull as hell, lots of cubes, cones, balls, crumpled pieces of paper, that sort of thing to perfect the basics. Next they add in advanced basics like shading techniques and line quality, and finally progressing to specialized drawing classes and eventually color, like figure drawing, architectural drawing, etc. After the first few drawing classes painting is usually required. You'll get there, don't worry! Remember, practice is very very important. In my first class, there was a huge difference between the "haves" and the "have nots", but by my third class or so you couldn't tell who had come in with skills and who hadn't. Answered by mycathouse - Sat May 29 01:42:02 2010 What kind of markers are good for drawing Anime?
Q. My son is very interested in animation and anime drawing. What kind of drawing markers are best. We are looking at Prismacolor brand, but they are really expensive. Any other suggestions? We noticed that a 24 piece set is about $50-$70. What is best for the money? Asked by Glynis - Mon Feb 26 13:11:12 2007 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments A. A lot of anime/manga artists swear by COPIC-brand markers, but they're rather pricey, too. A few good links are: (This is a good beginners set, with a book and a marker.) (This is a great starter set with the black and white liners.) (The basic color set, unfortunately sold out.) I also recommend heading over to an art supply store and asking the staff what they think, given your price range. Good luck!
